3 Creative Ways To Use Home Automation Routines

Philip Freeman

Do you have a lot of home automation devices in place, such as lighting, smart locks, electronic blinds, and things of that nature? If so, you'll want to step up your home automation game with some creative uses that will make life easier for you each day. Here are some ideas that you can use at your home.

Good Morning And Goodnight Commands

Chances are that you have a lot of things that are pretty routine for you when you wake up and when you go to bed. A good idea to use your home automation products is to perform all of these things with a single voice command.

When you tell your voice assistant goodnight, you can have it start getting everything ready for when you go to bed. Turn off all of the lights in the home that are connected to smart plugs or switches, lower the blinds so that people cannot see inside, lock the doors that have smart deadbolts, and even change the thermostat to a different temperature. You'll be amazed at how convenient it is to not have to check all of these things or give individual commands. You can create a similar routine when you say good morning, which will do things roll up your blinds so that you get natural light in the space

TV Time Commands

Do you ever want to sit down and watch TV, but know that there are a few things that you need to get in order before you do? Consider creating a TV time voice command, where speaking a phrase to your digital assistant will get everything ready to watch TV. This could include rolling up the blinds to reduce glare on the TV, turning on your television, and even turn on bias lighting behind your TV so that the image is easier on your eyes.

Temperature Commands

Your smart thermostat gives you full control over the temperature of your home, and you can tie that in with your digital assistant. Consider creating some voice commands that are only designed to turn the thermostat up or down a couple of degrees. For example, create a command that lets you instruct your voice assistant to turn up the heat. Now you won't have to check what the current thermostat settings are and tell your voice assistant a specific temperature to change the thermostat too, making the process a bit easier.

The Secrets To Entertaining Guests, No Matter Who They Are

My name is Natalie Potter and I hope you enjoy my website. I would like to tell you a little about myself. I have spent the past couple of years traveling the world. There are so many wonderful people who have allowed me to stay with them, who have shown splendid hospitality and who have shown me how to enjoy the sights and sounds of their homelands. Now that I will be spending time at home, I have decided to return the favor by reaching out to my international friends. This has offered me the opportunity to improve my hospitality and my ability to entertain guests. Therefore, I have decided to create a blog focused on entertainment and hospitality.
