Mix Your Carnival Up With Lesser-Known Carnival Rides

Philip Freeman

There are many traditional carnival rides that you could make a part of your next carnival, such as bumper cars, ferris wheels, and tilta-whirls. But if you want to draw more visitors to your next carnival, it's a good idea to mix new types of rides to keep guests interested. There are several less conventional types of rides to keep in mind.

The Arenalator

The adrenalator is a giant treadmill on an incline. The idea is to run up the incline with the added challenge of the treadmill forcing you downward. When you get to the top, you can then slide down a slide. Part of the fun comes from competing with friends to get to the top first.

The Climbing Wall

Climbing walls are becoming a popular feature of not only carnivals but malls across America. You'll have a safety harness attached to you, and you can pretend that you're climbing a mountain. If you fall, the harness will catch you.

The Eurobungy

A eurobungy is a combination of a bungee cord and trampoline. Attach a bungee cord with a harness and jump up and down using the trampoline. Then, you can flip forward or flip backwards. You might need to set a time limit for how long your guests can use this ride.

The Stunt Jump

The stunt jump is a platform from which you can jump onto a cushioned surface. It's designed to be as safe as possible while allowing you to perform flips. This ride doesn't take very long to complete and can easily serve hundreds of guests.

The Mechanical Bull

A mechanical bull can fit great at a western-themed carnival, but literally any carnival could attract crowds with this ride. The device tilts suddenly in multiple directions, and the rider has to hold on for as long as possible. The ground surrounding the mechanical bull is padded to minimize the risk of injury. This is another fun, competitive ride where you can challenge your friends to see who can hang on for as long as possible.

The Rocking Mini Car

Another inventive ride is a rocking mini car. The rider hops inside the car, and it then rocks back and forth while playing music. These cars are also large enough to seat multiple children so you can serve as many guests as possible.

When setting up your carnival, include a mixture of traditional and novel carnival rides to mix it up.

About Me
The Secrets To Entertaining Guests, No Matter Who They Are

My name is Natalie Potter and I hope you enjoy my website. I would like to tell you a little about myself. I have spent the past couple of years traveling the world. There are so many wonderful people who have allowed me to stay with them, who have shown splendid hospitality and who have shown me how to enjoy the sights and sounds of their homelands. Now that I will be spending time at home, I have decided to return the favor by reaching out to my international friends. This has offered me the opportunity to improve my hospitality and my ability to entertain guests. Therefore, I have decided to create a blog focused on entertainment and hospitality.
