Looking To Hold Your Child's Birthday At A Bowling Alley? Questions To Ask Prior To Booking

Philip Freeman

Holding your child's birthday party at a bowling alley can be a fun experience for people of all ages. However, all bowling alleys are different and the way they hold parties varies. Before booking a party, there are many questions that you should ask. Here are a few of the questions to ask prior to booking your child's party at a bowling alley.

Can a Cake or Cupcakes Be Brought In?

One important question to ask before booking a party at a bowling alley is whether you can bring in your own cake or cupcakes. Some venues will allow you to bring in your own cake or cupcakes. Other venues will only allow food that they supply. If your child has their heart set on a certain cake or design, it may be best to find a venue that allows you to bring in your own.

How Much Bowling is Included in the Party Price?

Another important question to ask is how much bowling is included in the party price. Most venues will charge you a flat-fee per person who is bowling at the party. However, this flat fee may include a certain amount of time, like 30 or 60 minutes, to bowl or may cover a number of games, such as one or two. If you have smaller children, it may take them awhile to complete each game, so a set number of games may be ideal. If you are having a party for an older group of kids, a set amount of time may be ideal. It encourages them to pay attention and go quickly to maximize the number of games they can fit in.

How Many People Are Assigned to a Lane?

As you look to book a birthday party at a bowling alley, ask how many people the bowling alley will assign to a lane. Having too many people assigned to a lane can cause people to get bored while waiting for their turn. Ideally, you want a center that limits the number of people per lane to anywhere from four to six.

Do You Have Bumpers?

The last question to ask when you are looking to hold your child's birthday party at a bowling alley is if they have bumpers. If you have younger children bowling, they may get frustrated if their ball constantly goes in the gutter. Bumpers can be placed over the gutter to help guide the ball toward the pin and prevent gutter balls. Some centers have them available for children ages 10 and under, while other centers do not have them at all.

Birthday parties are handled differently at different bowling alleys. Asking these questions will help you find the best bowling alley to hold your child's party at. Contact an alley, like Sparetimes Bowling, to get started.

The Secrets To Entertaining Guests, No Matter Who They Are

My name is Natalie Potter and I hope you enjoy my website. I would like to tell you a little about myself. I have spent the past couple of years traveling the world. There are so many wonderful people who have allowed me to stay with them, who have shown splendid hospitality and who have shown me how to enjoy the sights and sounds of their homelands. Now that I will be spending time at home, I have decided to return the favor by reaching out to my international friends. This has offered me the opportunity to improve my hospitality and my ability to entertain guests. Therefore, I have decided to create a blog focused on entertainment and hospitality.
